Moab’s new Lasal range of archival resin coated papers joins our Colorado Fibre Gloss and the now famous Entrada Cotton Rag in forming a complete solution for all inkjet photographic needs.

Moab papers are made by Legion Paper, the USA’s largest distributor of fine art materials.

Lasal is a 100% US made product and has an ultrasmooth bright white acid free art paper as its base. The acid free nature of the base makes the paper truly archival and the new microporus inkjet coating is both water resistant and highly scratch resistant.

Lasal Lustre has a true low sheen finish that makes it look exactly like traditional “E” type photographs and the high gloss is more scratch resistant than other similar types of paper.

The new inkjet receptor coating has one of the longest tonal ranges available in the inkjet market today and excels in high quality wedding and portraiture work where the ultimate longevity is required in a resin coated product.

Colorado

Moab’s Colorado Fibre Satine and Gloss is now in limited availability. This paper mimics the traditional air dried “F” type base of doubleweight darkroom papers.

This exhibition standard product remains true to the time honoured darkroom tradition by using a base paper weight that makes it feel like it was wet developed. The Satine or low sheen finish is particularly useful for exhibition work as it retains an excellent DMAX of 2.3 when offering a lower sheen finish that does not produce distracting reflections when framed under glass.

Colorado is available in both rolls and sheets and has a brighter coating possessing more image impact than Crane’s OBA free Silver Rag but a more subdued look than Moab’s Lasal.

Colorado’s surface is superior to many Fibre products being announced lately as it has a very tough scratch resistant surface and sufficient flexibility to be roll fed.

This is the perfect medium for the black and white inkjet worker.

Inkjet Greeting Cards & Envelopes

GMS has begun distribution of Red River Paper’s superb range of inkjet printable cards. Red River Paper is a US based company and is the world’s largest maker of these unique products.

The Red River range consists of a pre scored cards, post cards, matching envelopes and storage systems. These cards are designed to print with desktop dye and pigment based printers such as the Epson R800.

Inkjet printable cards are typically 5 by 7 inches in size (7" x 10" unfolded) and are easily posted using Australia Post. They are available in many finishes including Glossy, Semi-Matt and Matt. The matt stock is 100% cotton rag. Red River also produces a specialty line for panoramic images, perfect for sending pictures of the Australian landscape overseas.

All Red River products can be further protected by the use of Moab Desert Spray.
